Replacement House in Hertfordshire

Hibbs & Walsh were able to obtain planning consent for a replacement house with a large footprint.

The owners wanted the original four bedroom bungalow to be replaced by a substantial family house. The local authority planners required the new dwelling to be as low as practically possible. Our solution was the imaginative use of multiple-roof pitches, giving the house a floor area twice the size of the original bungalow.

We administered a JCT Building Contract, visiting the site at frequent intervals to ensure that a high level of workmanship was maintained. We also liaised with the insurance-backed housing warranty provider and certificated the works to enable the clients to receive mortgage loan advance payments.
