Replacement dwelling in Hertfordshire

This substantial family house in Hertfordshire replaced a four bedroom bungalow and Hibbs & Walsh were able to obtain planning consent for a replacement dwelling with a large footprint. The local authority planners required the new dwelling to be as low as practically possible but, with the imaginative use of multiple roof pitches, the house has a floor area twice as big as the original bungalow. Hibbs & Walsh administered a JCT Building Contract visiting the site at frequent intervals to ensure that a high level of workmanship was maintained. They also liaised with the insurance backed housing warranty provider and certificated the works to enable the clients to receive mortgage loan advance payments.
