New House in Suffolk

This traditional looking house in Suffolk was constructed with a timber frame to enable construction to proceed quickly so that internal work could be carried out at an early stage whilst the brick layers carried on externally thus avoiding potential time delays that can be caused by inclement weather. The timber frame panels were manufactured off site and the structure was erected and water tight within two weeks of them being delivered to site. The walls were insulated utilising recycled paper fibre which is a highly efficient way to keep the embodied energy levels of the new house as low as possible. Triple glazed windows were also installed to keep the amount of potential heat loss down to a minimum and reduce the potential heating costs.
