Listed Buildings

Hibbs & Walsh serves a district of outstanding heritage architecture with over 3,800 listed buildings and 36 conservation areas, one of the highest concentrations of listed properties in the country. We specialise in extensions and alterations to period country houses.

It can be difficult obtaining Planning Permission or Listed Building Consent from the Local Authority. We are pleased to negotiate on behalf of our clients, with high success rates.

Our expertise in conservation work has led to our involvement in a number of prestige projects including drawing up proposals and carrying out renovations to Grade II* listed buildings. Proposals to rescue dilapidated listed buildings are drawn up in consultation with Local Authority conservation departments and English Heritage.

We ensure that alterations or additions are designed to fit into the context of the original building and respect the traditions of vernacular architecture, whilst at the same time providing 21st century facilities.
